This morning I was looking out my window and had just prayed these words, “Thank You Lord for my three children” when three bright red cardinals flew onto the tree in front of me. Was this a coincidence?
This week our microwave broke. My husband remembered that a family that he had done some yard work for had asked him a few months back if he knew of anyone that would want to buy their microwave for very cheap. They were switching their appliances to stainless steel. Was it a coincidence that the microwave they didn’t want is white and that our appliances are white too? Was it a coincidence that when my husband called to see if they still had it after so many months, they did?
I don’t call these coincidences, but rather, I call them “Kisses from the King.”
Kisses from the King are the times I sense that God, either through His Word or through a circumstance, is letting me know that He is alive and with me.
When God reveals Himself to me in my every day life I am reminded that He is a personal God and that He loves me. It’s as if He is giving me a supernatural kiss.
As Jesus’s followers we must have eyes to see Him, ears to hear Him and, most importantly a heart open to Him (Matthew 13:15).
God is everywhere but too often we don’t recognize Him (Tweet this).
In God’s economy there are no coincidences.
Jesus told us that the Kingdom of God belongs to those that have faith like a little child (Luke 18:15-17). This means we need to trust God like children do, believing God is in everything.
Like the early disciples who saw Jesus with their natural eyes forty days after His resurrection, we can see Him today with our spiritual eyes (1 John 1:1).
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
I see God’s love for me through the birds outside. This is because years ago when we were struggling with our finances, I was led to Matthew 6:25-30. Through this passage of Scripture God encouraged me to have faith in His provision for my family and I. If He cares so much for birds, how much more He will care for me.
Ever since that day I have sensed a kiss from Him every time I see a bird (and that’s a lot of kisses because I see a lot of birds everyday!).
I encourage you to open your spiritual eyes to the things that happen to you on a daily basis. Don’t write them off as a coincidence.
Have faith like an innocent young child and believe in the supernatural, here on earth.
Jesus is alive and with you. You may not be able to use your human senses to sense His presence, but He is as close to you as any human being may be.
Draw into a deeper intimacy with Him by recognizing Him.
When you read a verse in the Bible, and then later that day you see it again, rejoice, do a dance, praise Him for you just received a kiss from the King.
Do not minimize God’s ways of communicating to you. Think outside the box and search for God’s deep treasures that are in your daily life.
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the glory of God that is often found in the ordinary.
Allow yourself to believe in His kisses from Heaven.
He adores you and He wants to show Himself to you. But He needs you to do your part, which is to have your eyes, ears and heart sensitive to understanding His ways.
Please leave me a comment below and share the times that you have sensed a kiss from the King.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.” ~ Revelations 1:8.

Great word, once again. Thanks for sharing this great reminder of His blessings.
Thanks honey. I appreciate your support and encouragement 🙂
I have oftentimes experienced things like these and is very well put as ‘kisses from the King’. My husband who loves me gives me a kiss every morning before he leaves for work and after he comes home and before we shut our eyes to sleep. However, we get kisses from the Lord throughout the day. How awesome is His love towards us. I like your suggestion to do a dance when he does something and confirms it by bringing to remembrance His words to us. Love all that you said and makes me want to love like He loves.
Yes, how awesome is His love towards us. It is truly amazing love. Thanks for sharing. You DO love like He does. I am blessed to have you in my life as I experience Jesus with flesh on through you!!! Love you~
What a beautiful piece Tweeney! I think you have a tremondous gift in writing. There’s such tenderness, transparency, wisdom in how you write. Be encouraged friend…keep going…you’re doing a marvelous job!
Very sweet to read how Abba gives you kisses on a regular basis and how you have opened up your eyes and ears to Him.
Thought this was a key phrase: Draw into a deeper intimacy with Him by recognizing Him.
One way I have felt his kiss is through a tough time in life…last fall I was at a place where there was a misscommunication. I was alone and left out and things were out of my control. anxiety was screaming inside of me and I started to believe the lies the enemy was telling me. Then tears started coming and didn’t stop. I went into the restroom and moments later a woman came in and saw I was upset. she opened her arms and held me. She told me to just let it all out and she didn’t let go of her hug. Most people seem to get uncomfortable when a hug last for more than a few seconds. This person didn’t. She spoke His truth while I was trying to calm down. When I was ready to I slowly let go and she looked into my eyes and said my accountance had changed completly. I felt so calm and at peace and believe Abba put a believer to come into the ladies room at that moment and provide comfort through her. Hope this makes sense. Thanks for allowing me to chance to share this story.
